This article explains how snoozing works.
On the On My Plate (OMP) page, you may have a project task that has a start date to due date duration of multiple days even though the amount of effort to get it done may be only a day or less.
Pie has a great way to snooze the task until a later date without the need to change the task's start and due date. This will make the task move from your today's todo and show up again as a reminder on a future specified date you choose to snooze to.
Also, when you drag a task to a future day, it will automatically snooze. This action acts the same as if you clicked the snooze button in the calendar popup to snooze the task.

Setting up a Snooze
Here are the user's steps to snooze a project task. Let's say you have a task that starts today and ends later next week. You know it will take you only a half day to do the work and you don't want to start up until tomorrow.
- Click either on the start or due date and select snooze in the lower right corner of the popup.
- Set a snooze date for tomorrow.
- The tasks then disappears from today and will be scheduled to show up tomorrow. Note that the start and due date remain exactly the same as its original dates.
- If you change your mind, you can clear the snooze by opening the calendar again and clicking snoozing and then clicking the clear button. This brings the task back its original start date location on your On My Plate page.
- Instead of clicking the calendar to snooze a task to a later date this week, you can just drag the task to another day. this works the same as steps 1-3 above.
- Note that you can snooze a task backwards in time as well.
- If you explicitly change a task start or due date, this will automatically turn off its snoozing.
Snoozing the Late tasks on the On My Plate page
If you have a number of tasks in the Late view on the On My Plate Tasks page, you can change their dates to the current or future dates. But, what if you don't want to mess with changing the project task dates.
You can snooze all of the late tasks to the today calendar day.
- On the On My Plate Late page, click on the link "Snooze All To Today".
- This will automatically set the snooze date of all of the late tasks to Today's date.
- Then jump back to the current week's view and see them all in Today.
- From here you can choose to work on that tasks today, snooze them out to a future date, or explicitly change their dates to the future. If you change their dates, please be aware that Pie automatically turns off the snoozing.
