Pie Artificial Intelligence for Creating Tasks

The generative AI feature in Pie includes the ability to create a task list with detailed descriptions either under a project or recipe slice or process box.

Note: Don't expect perfect results from AI. Generative AI results are only as good as the data that's out there on the web that has had ChatGPT training, so keep in mind this is just for a nice jump start.

Using AI under a slice

When you have a new slice with no content yet, you will see the button "Create List from Other..."

1) Click this button to bring up the create options as shown.
2) Click the Create from AI option.

3) Next is to enter your prompt on the prompt line. Be as detailed as you can to give AI the instructions with enough context. For example, in the following case we're implementing the Salesforce Marketing Cloud for a client and we want to get a head start on what might be some planning steps. A prompt for this could be "Create a list of tasks with descriptions on how to do the planning phase of a salesforce marketing cloud implementation." Then we'll click the GENERATE button to send the prompt to GPT.

4) The API to OpenAI GPT will then generate a preview in a table format. This is a temporary view and you can edit any of the text in the table if needed. If you like it, then click the USE FOR TASK button. Or you can add a new prompt to try to get better results. 

5) To try again, you can add more prompt instructions on the last line. It will then generate again. When you have a new results, you will be able to go back and forth to compare results using the paging feature. Then click USE FOR TASKS when ready and it will then turn the AI generated content into normal Pie tasks.

Using AI Under a Process Box

The method described above for a slice task list works the same way as for using AI to generate tasks under a process box. When you create a new box, you will see the "Create List from Other..." button as shown below. Then the steps are the same as described above.
