What's Up: We have successfully developed an API to integrate a Pie project with a Salesforce.com (SFDC) application and preparing to deploy this in the future for our Pie customers.
Not Yet Deployed: At this moment, we haven't yet deployed a Salesforce "package" on the SFDC AppExchange so you can use this feature.
Objective: The team's project execution would be done in Pie and management can manage the project in both Pie and SFDC. In SFDC, you would be able to track the project relative to sales opportunities and other customer relationship management activities. You could also track people billing rates and costs and their timesheet data.
What's Coming:
- Before starting you would need to have the package from Pie (which is not yet available) that contains the following custom objects:
- Projects
- Members (for assignments)
- Roles
- Timesheets
- Once you have this package installed in your SFDC account, you will be able to create a Pie project and connect it to your Salesforce account. In doing so, the connection will automatically create the same project in SFDC
- The following are the integrations
- Create a Pie project will automatically create a duplicate project in SFDC
- Assign team members in your SFDC project, will auto push the assignments to your Pie project
- Team members in Pie adding time at the project or task level will auto push the time into your SFDC project
