Share the Timeline page publicly

You can share the Project Timeline page as a web page or an embedded iframe view outside of your Pie account. The viewers will not need a Pie license to see the Timeline. They can interact with the Timeline just like a team member. The Workspace Admin person is the only one to activate sharing.

How-to Steps

1. Go to the Project Timeline page.
2. On the tip of the timeline graph view, you will see the "Share..." button. Click this to open the popup.
3. The only person who can start a share is a member that has the Workspace Admin permission of the workspace this project belongs to. Other team members including the project admin cannot activate it, but they can click the start button to get a popup that lists the names of the workspace admins for contact purposes.
4. As the workspace admin, click the start button to activate, generating the links.
5. There will be two options —
   1. Option One: is for sharing the Timeline in a web page URL link with anyone.
   2. Option Two: is an <iframe> HTML element which represents a nested browsing context. This can embed the Timeline page into another HTML page. See tips about the iframe embed option below.
6. Once the sharing starts, a project admin or a workspace admin permission member can pause the sharing which will stop the display of the shared page once it's refreshed. The project admin or workspace admin can restart it by clicking the restart button.
7. The stop button will disengage the sharing and make the links no longer valid. If needed, the workspace admin can start a new sharing unique set of links. Remember that only the workspace admin can start a new share, so the project admin will need to ask the workspace admin to start a new share.
