How-To Video

- Click the People Timeline tab
- That's it. Watch the following video to learn about this report.
Highlights
Assumptions: You are part of an organization and have permission to see projects in that organization's workspaces. Your projects have tasks that are assigned to people (and/or roles), and those tasks have start and due dates.
Visibility: You will only see people and their assigned projects and roles who are in the projects you have permission to see.
Colors: The color bars represent the person's assigned tasks or roles assigned to a task with dates.
- Green bar color — Tasks marked Done
- Red bar color — Late tasks
- Blue bar color — Not started future tasks
- Darker blue — Overlapping assignments
- White bars — The length of the projects from start to end
Filtering: You can either view people across the organization (default) or filter to a workspace (depending on your project and workspace assignments). If you want to filter to a workspace, click the "Filters" button and select a workspace to narrow down the report. We recommend not filtering if you are looking for people to load assignments across workspaces in your organization.
Works only with assignments on tasks that have start and due dates: The People Timeline reports work from assigned tasks with start dates, due dates, and assigned roles. If your projects are run without dates, then the assigned task work or assigned projects will not be reflected on this report.
Set bar length options:
The following image shows you the filter drawer open after you click the Filters button. In addition to the top three filter sections, you will find how to set your preference for always showing the project's bar or hiding the project bar so you can focus only on the resources.
