How to cancel or delete an Organization and its Workspaces

This article is for people who have Organization Admin permissions.

This article explains on how to completely close and delete an Organization along with its workspaces, projects, and recipes.

If your organization is on a premium paying plan (Pro or Enterprise), please note you can downgrade your organization to the Apple Free plan (see Option 1 below) and keep your projects and recipes active for free with less features.

Once the organization deleted, that's it. It's forever gone. Be sure you want to permanently delete your organization.

Option 1 — Downgrade the organization and continue with the Free features

You must be the Organization Admin to have permissions to follow these steps for downgrading your organization to the Free plan.

1. Click your avatar in the upper left corner and click Workspaces.
2. Hover over your organization bar and then click the BILLING button on the right.
3. On the BILLING page, downgrade by selecting the Apple Free Plan.
4. Type the word "downgrade" in the downgrade field and then click the downgrade button.
   This will keep all of your projects and recipes functional, but you will lose premium features.

Option 2 — Delete the organization permanently

You must be the Organization Admin to have permissions for the following deletion steps. The organization's workspaces must first be deleted before deleting the organization. Remember, instead of deleting, you can downgrade your paying plan to a free plan (see Option 1 above).

1. Click your avatar in the upper left corner and click Workspaces.
2. Find your organization bar and expand it to reveal its workspaces.
3. The first step is to delete each workspace before you can delete the organization. Hover over each workspace and click the trashcan icon to delete it. This will also delete the projects and recipes unless you first move them to another organization's workspace.
4. Once workspaces are deleted, you can then delete the organization. Hover over the organization bar and then click the trash can icon at the far right. Next, follow the delete process.
