About project indicator icons for late, issues, and milestones

This article helps you learn about the project late, project issues and risks, and project milestones report view using icon indicators on the project pie.

Access to This Feature

If you are a member of at least one workspace under the Pro or Enterprise premium plans, you will be able to use the project pie indicators. With being a member of one premium plan you get this feature for all projects including those on the Free plan.

How-To Video

Button Locations

1. Project List page. You will find this button in the upper corner of the Project List page and an opened project.
2. Open project page. When you open a project, the button will be in the upper right of the project.

Late Indicator

Click this button to turn on the view to show the red late bars on the projects. The red late bars length are calculated the same way green progress bars are determined, which is based on task durations and number of tasks.

Open a project and you will see this same feature at the project level. If you toggle it on or off, Pie remembers your preference and will save the last state for you the next time you log in. If you toggle the indicator on at the project list page, it will also toggle it on for the open project and visa versa. So, the toggle affects both views.

Issue/Risk Indicator

Click this button to turn on the view to show the issue (red) or risk (yellow) indicator icons on the projects that contain issues or risks. 

First to note is the icon to the left of the project name shows the project status as green, red, or yellow. If at least one issue is added to the project, that button turns red. However, what if you want to know how many issues and where they are located? That's the beauty of this project indicators feature.

When you toggle on the upper right issue button, you will see the icons on the pie slices. Hover over the icon to get its popup and see the issue label. Click the "go to post" blue link and it will open the project and auto select the POSTS tab, and then expand that issue or risk post.

Milestone Indicator

Click this button to turn on the view to show the milestone indicator icons on the projects that contain milestones. 

When you toggle on the upper right milestone button, you will see the diamond-shaped icons on the pie slices. Hover over the icon to get its popup and see the milestone label and its due date. Click the "go to milestone task" blue link and it will open the project, bring you to the location, and auto expand the task with the milestone.
