This help page is for both the project and recipe pie slice features.
Create, edit, delete, or reorder pie slices (phases or stages).
A "pie slice" is like a project phase. Use this feature when your project has a lot of tasks you and find it better to break them down into phases of the project. You will slice up the pie like you would slice up a pizza or apple pie. Each slice then will contain their own tasks for better grouping.
The maximum number of slices allowed is 15. This is to ensure the pie is readable. If you need more, one option is using a single slice pie with multiple process boxes for your stages. Another option is turning your stages into separate projects and group them into a stack.

NOTE: There are buttons when you edit an existing slice set asking if you want to update only this project, update this project and the slice set too, or update this project and create a new slice set in the library. See the section below called "Options when you make changes" to learn more.

- To add in-between, place your cursor at the end of the previous label and hit your enter or return key to add a new line.
- To add at the top of the list, place your cursor at the start of the first line label text and hit enter or return key.
- Type in your new slice label and click Update Project.
How to edit and existing slice set in the stored slice set list
Let's say you want to update a slice set in your stored list of slice sets.
- You first need to go to the slice creator page. The best way to get here is to create a new project and then click Add Slices.
- When in this state, select an existing slice set and then click the pencil edit icon to its right to edit or click the trash can icon to delete.
Options when you make changes
When you make any edit changes, you will see three radio buttons. When you create a new set of slice labels, you most likely stored them for future use. Then when you make updates, you will see three options:
- Update stored label set. This option will update your existing slice set labels. Use this when you believe a future project will want to leverage this set of labels instead of the old set.
- Store as new label set. This option will not affect the previous label, but instead will create a new set. Use this when your future projects may need either the old set or this new updated version.
- Only for this project. This will not affect any stored label sets, not make a new one for future projects. Use this if your edit is only for this project. This is the default setting.
