When to use a process box?

When you create a project or a recipe, you will see an option to either create a task or a box. 

What's a process box? It's a way to group tasks such as sub-phases, milestones, or key deliverables.

When to use a box? If you have a project a list of tasks under a slice that's pretty long (i.e., more than 10-15 tasks), then break them up into easier-to-execute groups using boxes. Also, think of a row of boxes as a process flow, so order your boxes in a flow order. However, no problem having two boxes being executed at the same time. The tasks under the boxes are really what drives the start and due dates.

How to create a box — no tasks yet

1. Click the blue Create Box button.
2. New box shows up ready to be created.
3. Enter label.
4. Either hit enter key, click create, or click outside of box to submit.
5. Box is highlighted and you can now add tasks under it.
6. Click the box to unselect it. This will hide its tasks. Click it again to select it and show its tasks.

How to convert a task list into boxes with tasks

If your list of tasks is too long, you can group them under a couple boxes.

1. Click the kabab icon (3 dots) to the upper right of the task list for the more options popup
2. Select "Create box to contain these tasks"
3. New box shows up ready to be created.
4. Enter label.
5. Either hit enter key, click create, or click outside of box to submit.
6. Box is highlighted and you see your tasks list was moved under this box.
7. You can create the next box and drag and drop tasks between boxes.

How to rename or delete box

1. Select box so it's white, not gray.
2. Click the blue kabab button in the lower right of the box.
3. You will see a popup where you can click either rename or delete.
4. If you click DELETE, it will also delete its task, so be sure to move them (drag and drop) to another box if you want to keep any of them.

How to reorder boxes

Click a box and drag to a new position. That's it!

Boxes from recipes

When you create boxes in a recipe and then create a project from that recipe, your project will inherit all boxes and tasks from the recipe. Sweet pineapple!
