How to set up Pie for multiple agile teams working in the same project
Yes! It's possible with Pie. With a project that has multiple slices, you can set up more than one sprint group where each sprint slice would be for different agile teams.
(To learn about the basics of structuring sprints in Pie, see about setting up sprints article or check out what is a sprint article.)
Let's assume we have two sprint teams working in tandem and you want to structure Pie with two sets of Sprint slices and each with their own Done Sprint slices. If your project is large and complex and you have more than two sprint teams working in tandem, consider using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) method in a Pie program stack.

How-To Steps
- Create your project as normal (a project template for this could be set up as a recipe).
-
Add your backlog slice and your sprint slices so they are in sequence like in this example.
Notice I inserted "[1]" in the labels for sprint team one and "[2]" for sprint team two. The reason I did that is because Pie will automatically insert a "[x]" in front of the "Done Sprints" label (see step 3)
- In each sprint slice's board, when that particular sprint is done, just mark the sprint as finished and Pie will automatically create a Done Sprints slice. Pie will know to place that Done Sprints slice to the right of that Sprint and once it detects more than one sprint slice, it will number them as shown:
- As your sprint lead marks their sprint as done for each sprint end, Pie will automatically place a date-stamped box for those done tasks in the appropriate Done Sprints slice.
If your project is more complex and you have more than two sprint teams working in tandem, then instead of structuring them all in the same project, consider using a program with sacked projects and the SAFe hybrid agile model.
