About Publishing Your Recipe to the Store

Why Publish Your Recipe?

If you're a consultant, a business, or individual and want to make ready-to-use recipes to your clients or your market, you may gain from publishing them to the Pie Store. 

First of all you can publish your recipe to the Store and offer it for Free or for a Price.

Here are some possible benefits of providing a copy of your ready-to-use recipes to the world:

• Helps businesses and individuals know what to do.
• Provide head start processes allowing others to modify with ease for their own needs.
• Promote your brand and expertise in your areas of specialty.
• Generate leads from offering free recipes as a teaser to your services.
• Generate good will from offering free recipes to the world.
• Generate revenue from offering recipes at a price (see below).

Sending a Private Recipe: If you want to just send a copy of a recipe to another user without offering it on the store, you can use the send recipe feature.

Content security notification: When a recipe is being published to the store, Pie will automatically send an email to notify the those who hold the Organization Admin permission. Ensure you have the rights or permission from your organization to publish your recipe. Once it's published, anyone in the world would be able to import if you're offering it for free or purchase and then import it if you're charging a fee. 

About Content Ownership

You or your company still owns your recipe when you publish it to the Pie Store. Plain and simple.

If you have a recipe on the Store and later decide to close your Pie account, you can either delete the recipe from the Store or pass its ownership over to PieMatrix for us to keep it on the Store. It's up to you.

Earn 80% Revenue

If you plan to publish your recipe with a price rather than free, your recipes with a price that are sold on the Store will earn you 80% of the sale price minus the Stripe transaction fees (approximately 2.9% + 30 cents).

You must maintain your Pie membership in order to earn revenue from your sold recipes.

How it Works

Start with uploading your recipe from the Recipe Store tab under the Recipe List page in your account. We provide you with a Store recipe configuration tool where you will enter your Store landing page content. When you're ready to publish, your descriptions, video, and screenshots will automatically be converted to your own Recipe Store landing page.

Visitors can click import to import a free copy of your recipes offered for free.

If your recipe is offered at a price, then the visitor would click purchase then will be taken to the checkout page to enter their credit card information.

Once submitted and charged, they will immediately obtain a copy of your recipe in their organization workspace. They can re-import a paid recipe to the same organization multiple times at no extra charge. If they choose to import it to a workspace under a different organization, they will be prompted to pay again.
