Working with the text format editor

You can use the Text Editor tool for formatting description fields that include:

• Project and recipe task descriptions
• Project and recipe descriptions (configuration page)
• On My Plate personal tasks

When you click inside a description field, you will notice the editor tool ribbon at the top of the field. The following is a partial description field on a task about COVID-19. Noticed the Text Editor toolbar at the top. Watch the How-to Video below to see it in action.

NOTE: There is a known bug with the third-party text editor library and they are aware of the issue. We will update the fix when it becomes available. The bug is as follows:

Let's say you change the color of the text to another color than black. Then you notice you have a misspelled word in that line. If you right-click the underlined misspelled word and try to correct it, the result is the entire colored line will vanish. If this happens, cancel your changes and fix the misspelled word manually. The bug has something to do with colored line text other than black. Regular black text spell correction should work just fine.
