You can create a task in three major locations. The On My Plate page, open project page, and open recipe page. This page will explain how to do it a project, but the other pages work the same.
Create Task
- Open a project.
- If the project doesn't have any pie slices, you will immediately see the Create Task button. If the project has a slice or a slice and boxes, click a slice (and then the box if it has any) and then you will see the Create Task button.
- Click the Create Task button to create. If the existing task list is more than 10 tasks, you will also see a Create Task at the bottom of the list as a second option.
- Enter your task description and hit enter.
(Note: You may see an animated orange indicator bouncing to show how long it takes for the system to make all updates from the created task, especially if you're in a large project.
Tips:
- After submitting, the next task line is ready to type for a fast way to add multiple tasks in a row. If you don't need to add any more, just hit enter again or click anyplace on the page.
- You can then drag and drop to reorder your task.
- While creating a new task and start typing a label, the action buttons show up on the right. This is a handy way to get to the task views for adding a description, assigning people, adding attachments, dates, etc.
Delete Task
If you are assigned to a task, you can delete it. The project admin and workspace admin can delete any project task.
To delete a task, expand it to see the action buttons. Click on the trash can icon to delete.
